Update from South East Water on 28 March 2018 regarding South East Water's scheme to lay 2 new water pipelines between Greywell and Odiham.
SE Water have now completed vegetation clearance needed before they start work to lay the new pipeline between Greywell and Odiham. Work will start on Tuesday 3 April at the treatment works site in Greywell and there will be a compound set up which will be located in a field adjacent to the Greywell site. The first road crossing is expected to take place on Deptford Lane between 11 May and 22 May.

For the safety of the public and the workforce, a road closure will be in place between these dates. A Deptford Lane diversion route via North Warnborough Street, Hook Road, A287 and Hook Road will be in place. SE Water would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and cooperation and will update as the project progresses.

Update from South East Water on 5 April 2018: South East Water have now started work to set up a compound in a field adjacent to their Greywell Water Treatment Works site. To allow them to connect the new main to their existing network in the future, they need to install new apparatus on Hook Road, North Warnborough. This will take place between the junction of Dunleys Hill and the Basingstoke Canal from 10 April to 12 April. Traffic lights will be in place during this work to keep the public and the workforce safe. You may notice further traffic lights along Hook Road at the junction with Mill Lane between 9 April and 11 April. These traffic lights will be in place for maintainence work on the existing network and are not connected with the work to lay a new pipeline. South East Water thank you for your patience.

Update from South East Water on 16 April 2018: Due to the good progress made so far on our scheme to lay two new pipelines from our Greywell Water Treatment through to Odiham we have been liasing with the local highways team about our road crossing in Deptford Lane. We now plan to do this on Monday 23 April 2018 and a temporary road closure will be in place for your safety and the safety of our workforce. We expect this work to take around 9 days although we will be working hard to finish this sooner. While the road closure is in place, a signed diversion via North Warnborough, The Street, Hook Road, A287 and Hook Road will be in place. We apologise for the short notice of this work but this will mean that we do not need to come back and close Deptford Lane at a later date. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

UPDATE from South East Water on 16 October 2017

Regarding South East Water's planned work to lay a new water main along Odiham Road and Upper Hale Road. SE water are currently working to finalise the reinstatement of the local area once the new pipeline has been laid and no decision will be made on this project until all the relevant permissions are in place. As a result, they do not expect to start the first 5-day section of the project on Monday 23 October. Update from South East Water on 14 November 2017 South East Water advise that due to unforeseen circumstances this scheme is now delayed and work is now expected to start on this project in summer 2018 with the project expected to finish approximately at the end of December 2018.
