A message from Hook and Odiham Lions Club: Christmas is a time of celebration and of families coming together however it is so easy to forget those who are no longer with us to share that special time. We will remember them for many reasons both happy and sad but a ‘Tree of Light’ gives those within the community the opportunity to sponsor a light in memory of that loved one or a cause close to their heart and at the same time raise money to support local projects. Hook & Odiham Lions Club hope that the use of the Christmas Tree in the High Street as a ’Tree of Light’ will be supported by the community and become an annual event.  Look for the posters in local businesses to see where you can pick up a form to make your dedication. You are invited to sponsor a light on the ’Tree of Light’ and join us when the Tree will be lit by the Chairman of the Parish Council Dr Angela McFarlane on Thursday November 28th at 6.30 pm followed by a short Dedication Service lead by the Rev Alison Brown.
